The famous Mail Pouch Tobacco ads first appeared on barns in the midwest and South during the Great Depression. A free paint job was too good to pass up for cash-strapped farmers. During the height of the ad campaign, Mail Pouch employed four crews, each painting three to four barns a day. Barns were touched up every three to five year. Now a farmer's only choice is to maintain the sign himself, where back road travelers can still be treated to the old familiar sight.

This Mail Pouch Barn is handcrafted from ¾” thick wood in the U.S. The colorful details on the front also include our famous black cat mascot, Casper, either sitting or reclining. The back includes a short description. You can set this keepsake on a mantle, shelf, desk, or perch it on the molding above your window or doorway. Group it with other Cat’s Meows to create your very own Village.
